im honestly a little pissed that yamato decided to fuck instead of actually asking what’s wrong. like shit he’s gonna cry over a failed surprise for so long, he should’ve noticed something’s wrong by now.

And you’re not wrong but that’s why I used the father example specifically because Yamato jumps to conclusions easily when he’s being “emotional“. He’s a very intelligent man but he’s not consistent. And given he knows his partner well enough he know Hozumi isn’t a normal cry baby. He’s actually knows this. So why now does disregard Hozumi’s nonverbal cues when at this point he’s aware of Hozumi’s relationship with his father and how Hozumi’s behavior entirely stems from his neglect and previous call for attention by being a brat. You’d at least expect Yamato to wrongly guess Hozumi had a fight with his father and from there hope that this would segue to a discussion of Hozumi’s parents in general. But it doesn’t, Yamato just takes it at face value and goes along with the sex. I’m not saying Yamato can read minds but it’s not consistent writing then if Yamato is so capable of reading his boyfriend but now that we’re given a sex scene that emotional judgment is thrown out the widow.

Again though, he can’t read minds 100% of the time. Why is the burden solely put on Yamato? I get it if us girls do that, we are guilty of that, we cry and we don’t talk, and yet, we want our men to get us. ;) But the most important thing is a two way communication Hozumi is a full grown guy. Even in the midst of tears, don’t you WANT your boyfriend to get you? Even if you can’t fully share, at least say something?
My point is, I don’t think Hozumi should be given a free pass just because he’s crying all the time without saying anything. Hope that helps!
the uke is so damn adoRABLE
