Sometimes these flop on the comedy part but this one is actually pretty good at it. I loved the 70's shoujo bit at the end of ch 12 lmao. Also, the ML has an actual personality! I like the fact that they squabble, especially because it seems innocent enough. They have the emotional intelligence to tone it down when they're talking about something serious, so I see no harm in it. It's the whole "They fight like an old married couple" trope lol

But I think it would've been more interesting if they had more chapters to play around with the idea. Like, beastmen face discrimination in most cases, so seeing Aleksei deal with that, along with the confusion/fear of turning into a human when he didn't even know he WAS a beastman, would've been a good way to add some angst. We also didn't get to see any battles with both leads after he turned human. I think seeing their chemistry on the battlefield after they became a couple would've been cool. It just felt too short and not fleshed out very well.

Penelope mentioned Eclis' heart being a muddy/shady color. I have a feeling that a 100% on a darkened heart means a bad ending, as in the character hit max hatred for her. Idk, I'm just getting bad vibes. I don't think this will be one of those "it was just a misunderstanding" moments.
