It was non consensual through and through. Not once did theo want to have sex with his ex. He literally said he was afraid of gunner right before walking off, like r u dense??? He was threatened and put in a position out of his control and forced to have sex with someone for his own safety

But this is why context matters, Theo is reasonably intimidated and afraid of what his ex is capable of doing to him beyond aggravated assault. It is never easy to escape an abuser, especially if you’re emotionally tied. This goes to say you should never blame a victim for being assaulted. The other person is trying to make that argument clear, however, you’re choosing to dismiss rape because you believe Theo is “weak” and he didn’t struggle enough.

At first that was my initial thoughts. Why isn't he properly fighting back? The first time zit was probably because despite refusing deep inside he still hv feelings for gunner and let's not forget that gunner has violent tendency so fighting back too much may cause him more damage than the sexual act. the second time in the car mc knew gunner had a gun and he knew he's not afraid to use it as mc said to gunner so realistically to me mc was handling it pretty rationally. He could've gotten more than a graze to his leg if he's not careful. These kind of ppl is unstable they can hurt ppl without knowing stms.

yeah basically the whole situation can be explained with the guy still has feelings for the dude. it just pisses me off that he's weak, that's all. i dont remember much but yeah when he's in the car in the dark tunnel it makes sense if he's forced to have sex with the guy but weren't they on a date or something before that? he knew the guy trying to bring them to somewhere isolated which is why i said it can be prevented in the first place if he just ends things off at the restaurant
