Also we haven't even gotten a simple confession yet from these two and I'm still entertained. This has to be the longest record in BL history where both protagonists are fucking, chasing, and holding onto each other yet neither has said even "I like you"
The closest I think we gotten was Jake telling Shin to stop looking away from him back around chapter 40 something.
(￣へ￣) Jeez that's probably the corniest backstory I've read in a bit. At least Jaekyung was physically abused by a junkie dad (not even a Jinx super fan), like I really cooked up a horrible backstory (maybe I'm judging too soon and there's gonna be more-- which still doesn't make sense for his dad to do all cause his wife fell? Be so fucking for real sir

So far all we got is his mom (sadly and kind of stupidly) slipped and ended up with permanent brain damage...also I really wish authors would look into head trauma more.
That short of fall even when hitting the bed post would cause some short term memory lost and issues maybe, but nothing of that severity so easily. Plus why didn't she brace herself???? Like what adult just let's themselves fall without using their limbs? She should have end up with a broken arm or a bad concussion (but brain damage?) give me a break. Then forgetting her child's face but seeing it in a little white boy on tv?

Adults get into life altering accidents all the time lol. The human body is both super sturdy and weirdly fragile. Any of us could one day trip stupidly, fall at a weird angle, and break our neck.

Neck injuries like that can result in being paralyzed or having long term memory loss etc
One) I don't know who you think you talking to like that, being disrespectful for no reason. You can come to me with your point of view and I would have gladly listen. But starting with insulting me already makes me feel like your last two brain cells ran from you.
Two) I said what I fucking said. I feel like it was a pretty mediocre ass backstory (I even said I hope we get even more so it I can take back what I said). The dad being all abusive is fucking weak when you tell me it started because his fucking wife slipped and busted her head and he blamed his child (that's fucking stupid).
Yes I know injuries like that can happen. I'm saying hers doesn't correlate well when she was on a step stool and never even tried to brace herself. No able-bodied adult would have let themselves straight up fall without trying to break it. Had we gotten a glimpse of her trying to catch herself it wouldn't feel so empty.
Also I'm not the only person that feels this way, plenty of people can sense no real heart was put into this backstory.

Can I please know where you read they confirmed that was neck/spinal injury? Because from that chapter she absolutely hit her head on the bed post (that's where all that blood comes from)
Yes people do have bizarre accidents all the time and I can get behind his mom's memory loss and brain damage if it was confirmed the severity. But without context (we're reading a story, context is important) I have no reason to understand why she not only forgot her child but she believes Aaron Hunter (a white child, her child is asian) is her son?
I would hope we can get some more of her injury explored because I'm curious about what this even would fall under.
Not my problem your reading comprehension is that of a 5 year old. Next time to don't start a conversation if you don't have the balls or brains to finish it.
