Good but not great: I don't know the characters facial expressions were a bit lacking...I couldn't tell love from sad. Also I cannot understand the choices for keeping the lap dog and doctor around even though they very obviously report to his ex?? The twist is nice but unnecessary if you're not gonna use it in a season 2 because that's a big reveal.
It's definitely not my fav but not the worst omegaverse I've read.

This has to be the best/worst cliffhanger I've read in smut. The author is a true vixen for edging, cause every moment closer we got to the smut parts the quicker the chapter ended. I honestly love it! It's fun and tempting cause I'm definitely excited for Season 2 (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Also I have to laugh at Luke "just this one time" for being the bottom...Oh Luke...honey the way Andrew is looking at you...you gonna be breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a side of dessert lol. He already started with that insane BJ he just gave you.
Also *clap* *clap* for Andrew taking it to the head for someone that never gave a BJ before lmao

I have to comment twice: I'm still so in awe of how breathtaking this manga is...from the panelling and storyboard to Chinastu and Kasumi drawings. I can't help but fall in love with them each time I come back here. I love all mangas/manhwas/manhuas but this one will always hold a solid place in my heart. I'm thinking of buying the volume (even though it's in Japanese) I just want to have it.
╥﹏╥

So glad I was patient, and got to read Full Volume as a binge! It's such a great time killer compared to half the toxic stories I put myself through.
Definitely adding Do Won as an fav top/Dom: the moment he said "I wanna hold you down and penetrate your most vulnerable side, so you can hardly breathe without me" had me in a choke hold dude! I didn't know what to think for like two days (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
And Tae Ju has to be the most fun sub/bottom I've come to love. He's a tease and soo slutty (which is a great thing!) he had me dying with the amount of vulgar things he said to Do Jin and I loved how unapologetic he was while doing it!
The whole story was porny, sweet, and comedic fun. Definitely gonna be my go to read for laughs and giggles

So we get a decent sex scene but the characters are still either dumb as a bag of bricks or fuck boy asshole. Like I get Potato is a virgin but again why does this author continue to right virgins like their still preteens. 20 is old enough to understand that this is a one night stand situation and to see himself out the moment he woke up.
I don't mind (actually I love) he stated he's sorry about them being drunk and not getting a clear consent. That's why drunk sex between two people is always messy when their not an established couple that communicates.
I honestly was hoping he was gonna tell Heesung thanks for the night cap and ghost him to make Heesung immediately shocked that once again he got dropped/dumped and not the other way around. Plus by a young boy who already doesn't find super attractive.
As for Heesung, I already knew he was a pretty boy slut, but I don't understand why he can't just be a gentleman one. Treat his one night stands with grace and say his thanks then goodbyes. It would make him more approachable and when he realizes that Potato doesn't give a rats ass about his wealth or face that it would make him more enticed.
But nope, he's another prick and potato is another dimwit lol
Eh I expected nothing more from this author. Enjoy the hiatus ladies and gents we're gonna need it.

What do you mean, who would read a manhwa that starts from green? I would and have read very nice and good manhwas that didn't have the characters fumbling about because they're inexperienced and still be very entertaining. But again I'm not asking for full fledged characters from the start. It would just be nice to have virgin characters that know how sex or even one night stands work. Potato isn't as bad as Doc Dan but he's just a clumsy or naive which is baffling in the year 2024.
Also don't call me boring cause I want more from my bottom characters then blushing, crying, and naivety.

Finally read the main story (haven't read the extras) and I can say overall Dear Doors is a decent read, even pretty damn funny at times. Now I'm giving it a solid 3.5/5, while it is easy to read, the smut is great (a bit too much of it at times) but always a pleasure. Some aspects will always bring a story below a 5 is the use of rape for no damn reason and then still making that character misunderstood or forgiven (Sid and Satan). One I am not a fan of incest storylines so having SatanxMika really just (⊙…⊙ )...yeah no I'm good. And he raped poor Kyung Joon in front of Cain, what is this Berserk?!
Then Sid...while his ending "sacrifice" was beautiful. I still don't like him, his intentions were always weird and selfish and the shit he put Jin Young through is unforgivable. Also his sacrifice isn't fulfilling for me, I am not a fan of the "dies for you" moments and then the next chapter the character is very much alive. Like don't be afraid to make people sad. His death was needed for him to break free of Metatron and bring balance back to everyone he harmed.
Now the story all together is still fun. I freaking loved Jin Young and Ben's hatred relationship! It was funny and down right my fav chapters. Plus not gonna lie BenxJin ship can get it! Overall I still enjoyed Dear Door and happy I read it, but I do hope for a future where writers/authors can try to use less forced sex and SA to hurt main characters. That's all for my take!

I won't knock the artist for her "idea" of character development because it's her story after all. But re-read the whole season after taking a break after episode 35 (which honestly broke my brain a bit). I'll explain why...
1) Character Traits and Personalities
Never once can I understand Jaekyung or Dan's choices and traits. I understand Jaekyung's past is a "mystery" for season 2 to discuss but I should be able to read something other then anger and aggression on his face. I like that he has a resting bitch face but not that it's his only emotion you can read. I hate that I can't tell if he's interested, annoyed, happy or content, or even curious. The only time we get a small sense of humanity is when he was drunk as a skunk.
Making Dan always grovel at everything Jaekyung did to him and still "fall" for him doesn't make any sense. Never once was he treated with a single grain of humanity.
That flashback he had when he finally leaves of that ONE TIME they played board games had me full on laugh out loud like that had to be the saddest thing I've ever seen...they shared nothing but Sex, forced sex, drunk sex, and drugged sex...but Board games are what made him realize Jae can be a "good" man.
2) The falling in love
It's not believable on both their parts: Dan shouldn't even fathom being around Jaekyung outside his Jinx and Jaekyung never once tried harder to be seen as human to Dan. I will say when I re-read it I can see a small glimpse of 'bothered' behind his eyes when he first looked at Dan but after that it just reads as mean and sexually driven.
Overall...Jae is not a "black" flag but never once does he try to be anything but a bad partner and asshole. Also I still say the author's choice to make his jealousy show as possessive and borderline rapey in that chapter with Heesung will always be the dumbest choice ever. That choice alone makes me hate Jae as a human being let alone boyfriend for Dan.
That's so messed up and the fact I'm not sure how if Dan ever finds out will he forgive that man is beyond me.
I guess season 2 will truly make of break it for me.

You definitely said something that bothers me here, the lack of facial expression since the art is "so good"? Knowing what a character feels through the drawing is something essential in a comic wtf.
And yes, everything about this work is poorly done, I just read it accepting crumbs, counting on my good will to continue all this.

Yeah, it was something the really started bothering the hell out of me through my reread. Like where are his emotions, where is the slight changes in his character that tells me he's definitely starting the like Dan is a "partner". Everything he feels he gets triggered.
I will give it the benefit of the doubt if behind his constant use of burst of anger or annoyance comes from his lack of love, hugs, and maybe forced to hide his emotions growing up, but it needs to be pretty extensive trauma for me to get behind his lack of growth as a 26 year old with millions to spend of personal therapy. Cause I always say if you have the means to have amazing doctors without a care of payment or bills there's no excuse not to try therapy.
With Jinx accepting crumbs is the best we'll get probably. I'm secretly holding hope the author has some serious character building for season 2. I hope... ╥﹏╥

I bet Jaekyung can't even come up with a reason why he's "annoyed" with Dan. I reread this manhwa just to see if I can see something behind Jaekyung's eyes that seem like anything but anger or annoyance. But no and he's still sucks butt lol
I'm not even a fan Kim Dan either cause I hate cry baby leads most of the time, but at least he's tolerable and has more then one thought process. The fact Jae couldn't believe Dan left when he didn't even realize he was missing for his first half of recovery after he didn't even give him the benefit of the doubt.
Dan still blaming himself for everything also needs to change cause it's such a drag to see him never realizing that Jae is/was the problem 95% of the time.
He's egotistical and possessive...he wants full control of Dan, he has yet to care about Dan's well-being because he genuinely felt at least bad for him. It's always "I did it for me, I did it for your grandma, I did it cause you were annoying me..." that's absolutely sad. I just can't wrap my head around Dan "loving this man" when he's yet to even take his feelings into consideration outside of that time he was drunk...WHICH DOES NOT COUNT!
Jae has so much to change that it's hard for me to even see him as a "good" boyfriend one day...( ̄∇ ̄")
I'm giving this a four out five because the one thing I wished that was fixed through out the whole story was that Kyujin respected Chiwoos boundaries better. I felt he often asked Kyujin stop doing things the way he wanted and then he would insistently do the opposite again and again. It kind of worked me over at some point...thus it becoming a bit endearing at the end since he held no malice for Chiwoo. But this would have been seriously triggering to Chiwoo who literally had his ex-best friend do the same damn thing which later lead to his physical and sexual assault. Like please ladies and gents, respect a persons first no and if they say give me time. Give them time! They will come around, I promise: Patience is a virtue.
JiHyun...well he's a son of bitch and he truly takes after their father. I'm the type of person that holds people with trauma to a certain criteria because as much I understand the having abusive parents can be horrible and obviously trauma inducing and JiHyun deserved better (AND THERAPY!), he absolutely gets even less respect from me because of what he did to his ONLY best friend. He knew he was putting Chiwoo into a box like a damn toy and it hurt to see how much he manipulated the way he kept dancing around his actions. He never tried to be a better man, he never tried to just leave Chiwoo alone. You SA your best friend...you don't get to try again. You don't get to tell him when to forgive you. Like even his goodbye was annoying..."I'll be waiting for the day you forgive me." Dude! You are so lucky that young boy didn't tell you to drop dead. Hell if I was Chiwoo's mom, I would've slapped the hell out of him at the hospital for once again putting my child in harms way.
He does not deserve better in my eyes and the only better he could get is just living quietly and humbly until maybe someone will picks him off the ground (maybe because no one else deserves to live with the mess).
