There's this duality between the platonic love and immense affection you feel for a pet, and at the same time the carnal desire felt for a romantic partner, and this imo makes their relationship so fulfilling and complete... Regardless of their identity, they're in total equal grounds! True love my friends

What a plot. It's thrilling, it feels real, and the love story is beautiful. All the characters are so damn well-thought and interesting. Nothing in the story is all black or white. We get to see the protagonists in every aspect of themselves through their backstory and their decisions, and it feels so real, I'm so pleased. And Conor! His character is so touching, good-hearted and brave!! He's a role model honestly. The scene were he speaks up in front of the crowd is so satisfying it's actually salutary. It screams truths that even irl people don't want to hear, and as I read it it was almost as if I was the one standing there, pouring my heart out in the megaphone. The scene is really intensely good, I felt so good reading it, and I feel like Conor is like the Nelson Mandela of their fictional universe (lol srry if the comparison seems out of place I couldn't rephrase it better).
And I just love how they made up. It was so smooth and natural, like they were meant to reunite and spend their entire lives together. Even the way they have sex, it's just... Full of love, forgiveness, hope, carefreeness (???) and over all good and heart-warming emotions. Conor and Simon are the true definition of soulmates honestly. Their love is beautiful and when they go to the market together!!! All of this is so pure, it helps releasing all the tension from the background plot and spreading hope everywhere :') This story makes me feel things.
