actually not throwing the first punch is stupid, the first punch is the most important thing in a fight. it makes sense to throw the first punch if you see the person clearly agitated and thinking of violence first so you have to throw the first punch to startle them and throw them off guard. ig anything after can be declared as self defence but that depends on who the witnesses side with and how they portray and tell the situation.
