I personally don't think he got excited because of this part of the dream. Yiyoung resisting him was probably an image for the guilt he feels about his previous behavior, created by his sub consciousness. (At least I hope that's the case). Then in the shower he was thinking of consensual sex, and that's how he got hard. So I'm not disappointed yet, but it might happen if your theory proves to be right..
Yiyoung might've said 'no' to the half-heartedness he suspects from Mr Kang, since their relationship used to be strictly physical. Mr Kang is (subconsciously) aware of this, I think.
