The author already gave us Chowon's family background, and how he didn't mean to really hurt Heesoo. I read a comment that if Kyungsoo ddnt know about it, will Chowon apologize? Well, imo, that's just shows how Chowon sees Kyungsoo's worth. We didn't even really know if it's really for Kyungsoo. He might just realized how awful he had done. And I'm actually glad Chowon acknowledges Kyungsoo. Chowon has found a reason to move on and own up his mistakes. And that's bec of Kyungsoo. For someone who has been longing for affection, always chasing for love, who has a bad relationship with family, has a big pride, and literally has no one to depend on, it must have been hard for him to come forward.
