If you want a Youkai one then I recommend reading. The tone of this is very like this manga- where it is funny most of the time but has some very dark moments (and not to be a spoiler but there’s an Abe no Seimei in this one as well that takes inspiration from the darker he was born from a fox myth). It has an anime adaptation as well but the anime is more for children with how much it cuts and changes the story.

No youkai in this one but there’s lots of gag and ridiculousness at the start with a weak willed protagonist who becomes strong almost unexpectedly, also collects enemies as his friends and so on. (Also identical ancestor who helps the protagonist but also respects whatever he wants to do in the future? Check.)
