I still don't understand why there are so many ppl hating on Emel. Yo don't like his type for a ml, understandable; I find him refresing he isn't perfect in everything or a complete oblivious idiot, as most of the ML in this genre.
If ur are coming with the "he is older" card, there is only 7 years, u probably read shoujo and yaoi with a worst year gap and don't complain.
If ur going to tell me "he's a pedo" card, i suggest to re-read the shoujo, when she was a child he treated her like a lil sis, when he started to feel something that was more than the "brother's love" he started to move away from her because he believed it was wrong, cuz his social status was just of a knight and how there relationship was and this happen when she grew up.
YES! 100% agree with you. I've been thinking about their age gap since the early chapters. Basing on the age of the FL's brother, and if Emel was 5 years older than the brother, the age gap between the FL and ML aren't that wide. It just looks like it is cause Emel has been there with the FL as a full fledged knight.
Is a 7 years gap. I rather prefer Emel, he is the most humanly like, that's why I believe ppl doesn't like him, cuz he fails, he needs help, he can be confused by his own feelings and how to a face them. Why did he leave Stelle? Cuz he belives he is trash, that he need to be stronger to protect her (since he fail at that before), he doesn't have the right status to be with her (since atm he was a knight) and he also believe that Stelle is confused by her feelings, that she loves/likes him because she doesn't know a lot of ppl and that she can grow from that and he wants to allow her to do that.
