The whole point of a regret storyline is that FL's feelings get validated because ML regrets and changes. Its the whole conquest over ML's heart that FL longed for and the unrequited love ends after ML realises his mistake.
This has happened here and there's plenty of time apart (7 years) and plenty of regret and hurt on the ML's side. It's kind of stupid to be so adamant that they don't get together when their faces are literally on the cover page. Why did you pick up this book when you are going to hate the ending couple in the first place???? You can tell that she will make Raymond fall for her and they will get back together from the cover alone 100 miles away. I don't get why ppl are so triggered that Raymond will be the ML when its been obviously on the cover page since day 1??? Read something else?
And its not even like irredeemable ML like Emperor's lap. Bro was emotionally stunted and fumbled. (understandably so. his mom literally got murdered and ppl he loved were removed from him just cos he expressed affection) That's all. Its not war crime worthy. I will give this manhwa a pass cos its not that big of a deal and the angst is bearable

I’m sorry but this kinda hurts. I have her body type and all she does is call herself fat lazy and incompetent for having a little bit of curves. It’s not even morbid obesity which is an actual cause for concern? When will these manhwas realise that not everyone’s bodies define their personality and work attitude?
Because this is a Korean manhwa and the majority of korean people are skinny and if you have any curves or a bit of fat on you, it’s like impossible to find clothes in stores… I’ve tried looking and I’d have to get clothes for ajumas or go to an American store to possibly find anything.
I’d agree with you if it wasn’t historically accurate. Back then skinny was normal and she has too things that they considered ugly. Weight and freckles. You can’t look at it from a modern point of view
Two
Yea but the way it’s handled all the time is like … “just diet”
FLs in these kinds of ugly duckling genre can somehow break cultural and social norms and shine but somehow she can’t be fat or tanned cos that’s a total no-no, historical accuracy aside, the message the books I’ve read gave is that “you don’t deserve love and adoration if you’re not skinny or paler than a vampire”
Cos the only time they feature fat characters is to prove to people that it’s something ugly to be changed.
I might have to stop reading these cos my ED might relapse soon
Like… if they aren’t gonna be positive about it… might as well not mention it and just write a typical isekai story.,. Instead every single time fatness is linked with ugliness to be eradicated. Meanwhile the plump MC looks prettier than Penelope Featherington.
As I said, this is Korea where they STILL (emphasis) paint their face white and have nothing that fits a 12 - 14 size hip in stores. You might say it’s historically accurate but I think this story isn’t based off of it, it looks more fantasy to me (compared to “A Broken Ring” or “A Stepmother Marchen” and others that are in fact based with historics as it’s foundation).
And I don’t think skinny is the same as what we view it today. Today it’s like anorexic are viewed as ideal beauty but like in the roman times etc women were more voluptuous and viewed as ideal beauty… but I digress.
I think they are also implying more in the story. Her sense of anxiety and self-loathing isn’t normal and her appearance looks pretty average if not beautiful. She might be bipolar or have some demon whispering in her mind/ears (idk if it’s going to incorporate magic yet), but either way, I don’t want to just jump to conclusions yet
dude, same. I'm not the body type, really, but I have curly hair, freckles, and a round face, and on top of all that... my name is grace
Close enough welcome back grace
Dear there have been long periods in the medieval time when being skinny (or tanned) was a thing of poor working class, aristocratic women had to be fleshy (and milky white) . Check paintings if you wish :)
The freckles might have been a problem in many cultures thought (still might be true in India, or at least it was a few decades ago)
Yeah i know that still a slap in the face
