1. The child
2. Aoi (which was to be expected I usually like the MC, but I still think he was unique enough to be recognisable)
3. Hakumei was fine for the most part
4. The art was beautiful
What I didn't understand:
1. Any of the wolf/dog shit
2. Why was everyone threatening Aoi all the time?
What I fuCKING HATED:
1. YUUMA
2. AOI FORGAVE YUUMA
3. YUUMA RAPING AOI
4. RAPE RAPE RAPE
5. HAKUMEI ACTING LIKE YUUMA DID NOTHING WRONG
6. YUUMA NEVER HAVING TO ACTUALLY MAKE AMENDS AS IF SAYING "SORRY I RAPED U LOL" IS ENOUGH
THIS LITERALLY RUINED THIS FOR ME,,, like I thought this would be forbidden love (well, to be fair it partially was) and then some fluff and some smut with "main love interest" Hakumei. And then Yuuma appears and I think HMM, LOVE TRIANGLE HMMMMM... but Yuuma is so shitty. I wasn't feeling him as a love interest so I was worried by all of his "screen time", but I thought I could just forgive and forget. An unsatisfying love interest, what's new? He tells his brother he will rape Aoi to get him out,,, and I... kinda get that? Like I can forgive that, he just said that to anger his brother...
SO WHY DID HE ACTUALLY DO IT THEN??? HE HAD NO REASON TO, HAKUMEI DIDN'T CARE ABOUT HIS THREATS? WHAT WAS HE TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH???
also am I the only one thinking it's weird Aoi didn't seem phased by the rape at all? like afterwards he acted like he got into an argument with him?? and then forgave him wayyyy too easily (also didn't mind that his now partner acted as if nothing happened and didn't even get mad at his rapist)
like I'm sorry if someone I know got raped I'd wanna tear the rapist apart, but Hakumei's just like "lets apologise" with his brother??????? HE DIDN'T EVEN GET ANGRY AT ALLLL LIKE WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAT A FUCKER
My final thoughts:
You see, I usually don't mind rape in yaoi that much... it's an unhealthy trope that authors like to romanticise WAY TOO MUCH, but I can overlook it sometimes (when it's not horrendously done OR acknowledged at least)
HOWEVER! In this yaoi, the rape was not only acknowledged and thought of as an OBVIOUSLY BAD THING TO DO, Yuuma rapes Aoi and then acts as if he just insulted him a little... and gets forgiven by Aoi... so... yes I hate this shit

This isn't a love story. It's a story about a guy who got raped and pursued by his stepbrother. Like honestly I don't mind a good imprisonment plot but this one was wack.
The thing that makes this so abhorent is that the uke recognises that he was raped and doesn't want to associate with the seme anymore, but seme follows him and fucking kidnaps the guy.
