My stance on this is that stories like this are very much in the grey area. Such as 'Sincerely: i Became a Duke’s Maid' & 'Following the bread crumbs'. Is it illegal or is it not? is it morally wrong or is it morally fine? Honestly I think its less about grooming and more about position of power/authority. Obviously MC has the power in this situation, she is raising the ML as a mother figure. Coming from a position of power (providing food, roof, clothes etc) she has a positive influence on this child and is in a position to influence them. Obviously MC isn't trying to groom him but as someone with the power in this dynamic she should be responsible to not return those feelings & she should understand that ML may like her bc she was his sole provider (kinda adopted him). Obviously ppl are still going to read this stuff & thats fine but its good to at least acknowledge why there could be so many things gone wrong in a relationship like this
i completely agree with you. but i think in sincerely i became a duke's maid, the fl is only like 3-5 years older than the ml? ik she raised him from a kid but i think he was just initially really small from being neglected, although it does look like the fl is ten years older than the ml lol
Yeah that one she isn't that old lol thats just the only one I could think of that gave off similar vibes. But yeah that one if definitely 10x better as its not groomy at all :))

I've said it before and I'll say it again... if Tess was written as her own person that could kiss ass, was badass and had her own dreams I would 100% back Art + Tess, ESPECIALLY if the romance took off later in the novel if they spent a hell of a time longer establishing a connection between them!!!!
Tess is solely written for the purpose of Art. Her whole purpose from what we've seen thus far is to follow Art in every path he takes. She's at an academy to follow Art ffs
