Look I get u love your daughter but this is horrendous behaviour. He reminds me of parents of murderer or rapists who try and justify their child's actions. It's disgusting to see them be dismissive of the victims because of the child.
The most unrealistic part of the story is how the MC changed so quickly. I know her personality was annoying but even if she was actively trying to changed, it wouldn't have happened that fast
I think what happened is that she realized that most of her heartache wasn't really love, but what she lost after relying on them for so long.
Once she realized she needed to let go she did grieve over it but she's a person who knows how to grow from her mistakes

Yep. She realized her mistakes and was willing to change. I think she was pretty okay as a person but she got veeeery dependent on her ex. And took him for granted too. She regretted it but she knows what's done is done. I also think volunteering helped her a lot. As she see herself as the kid she's assigned with. But the kid got more courage than an adult like her.
I think it was more so her actions that were annoying not her personality per se, people do act differently depending on who they're with/the situation. + she was genuinely confused as to why he broke up with her & really hurt so I kinda understand why she was so... just ew.
