the story and couple look very promising

every time i see a comment that said they'd like the plot to be constructively better, someone would always retort with "this isn't your cliche rainbows and sunshine" AS IF the only way to have a well-written story is to have fatalistic, depressing themes consistently? even at the cost of being nonsensical to the story? who hurt y'all so bad which made y'all think that making a critical analysis of a story is somehow equivalent to "you just can't handle reading something so unique" ? make it make sense
