Guys am I the only one confused at the art style this chapter? Like it’s so wonky and the eyes are so big and lack details? Like the entire story was super consistent, clean and smooth and all of a sudden the colours, shading, line strength and proportions in the face are kinda… off? Am I the only one that thought like it? Especially the expressions of ash when he was surprised and overall his eyes and face just looked strange here?
I personally don’t think so, usually when you draw expressions of surprise (in a more negative way) less is more. I think they expressed it well :)
I‘m not saying it was bad per se. Just not how they usually draw the characters. It just looked different.
hire a 5 star assassin to kill your boyfriend in order not to be killed yourself….. instead of just asking your boyfriend who is the leader of a massive mafia organisation (and who is obsessed with you) as well as your father (who is the -former- leader of another powerful mafia organisation… and who is absolutely devoted to you) to take care of that one measly sniper. Surely that would be too complicated right?… RIGHT???

I usually love Stockholm Syndrom plots….. IF they are well executed and the twisted relationship is given enough time to develop. That way the ukr falling for his captor actually seems plausible no matter how immoral and twisted it is… but this right here ain’t it.
He was defensive one second and within 3 panels he abandons all his suspicion and hatred and tries to protect his freaking rapist and captor? Like why? He didn’t give him any grounds to stand on and see some form of romance in his actions… or care. Cuz lemme tell you a warm blanket ain’t no care or romantic gesture.. that’s basic morals.
Also you‘d think a trained agent should have more brain capacity, reasoning and resistance to fall for his captor. And also his strong sense of responsibility should in the first act pose as his dilemma of constantly resisting the treatment and advances of the seme. His character should face the internal struggles of slowly losing grasp on reality and his lines of justice and morality blurring the longer he is held captive and exposed to the treatment until finally he gives in and succumbs to it all.
but couldn't that also have been more of a what-if scenario based on his deepest desire? Because for seo chaeyoon his deepest desire right now is to get back his friend and companion. so dreaming about it hatching could just be a portrayal of his deepest desire rather than the definite future (of course in his case it will definitely happen since the bird is bound to hatch but that doesn't mean that the item shows the future right?)
