He's got a point! Only in movies do we actually see justice get served. In real life, it either takes forever or just never happens unless you have cash to throw around.
But I really hope he doesn’t lose himself by falling for that jerk. This story could totally go in a direction where the bottom pretends he’s all in love, gives up everything, and then ends up crushing that jerk.
When the top finally realizes he got played and that there was never any real love, it should hit him hard.

Calling love pure is disingenuous. Human emotions have no predetermined, set value. Love can be just as toxic and corrupt as it can be sweet and kind. Anger can be selfish, or it can be selfless. Patience can be carried out by force just as it can be an act of self sacrifice. No reasoning or value hidden behind an emotion change it's ultimate form – for better or for worse.
