I really hate it when the bottom has to rely on their abusive top to get “fixed” or “healed.” It feels like depending on the very person who caused the problem in the first place.
I wouldn’t mind if they end up together, but Kim Dan should be able to heal on his own first, and then decide for himself whether to continue the relationship with the jerk or not.
Otherwise, it can feel more like an obligation to “repay” the help during a vulnerable time, instead of being about genuine feelings.

It could have really been a great character development if the ML had learned to control himself from the beginning. But nope, he did some pretty terrible stuff just like in his past life. Sure, he changed later, but that doesn't make it okay.
And as usual in Yaoi stories, the bottoms are all super nice to everyone even though the love of their life treats them like dirt. With their huge muscles, what they really need is to step up and be more like a "man."
The only character I really loved was the princess. She deserves her own story! Such a beautiful character just ended up too early. I was expecting her present self to meet the bottom. It would have been a beautiful moment.
Overall, I have mixed feelings about the story. The ending was fine, but I had to forget about all the awful things the present life ML did at the start. His past life stuff really went beyond what anyone could forgive.
