This chapter is the beginning point of how all this drama came to be
it has a point. It's not there just for the heck of it. The brother's incestuous infatuation plays a big role in the plot, both in the past & in the present. And the rape affected how Heun reacted to the emperor in the past, & thus indirectly led to the emperor going all bat crazy possessive of Heun. We will see all that being shown in the next 3 chapters. I have a feeling people are gonna go hating Wonje even more, since he was simply atrocious, but all I can say is, let's wait until we see the emperor's POV since there is an underlying reason why things happened the way they were. This chapter is where we start diving into the main plot, so nothing is pointless.
