it looks like Giyuu got motivated to get married when he socialize with Uzui, also there is a scene where I think he is going back home and based on the letters it seems he is motivated (a depress person wont) to live. So Kanao and Yushiro are working together as doctors, then that means in the years we havent seen then the 2 might have discover a cure for the mark. No wonder Kanao and Tanjiro got married later, if you think about it, they may have been cured.

So I think there is a high chance Giyuu married Yae, coz the author opened the arc here where Giyuu is very depressed knowing of his time limit, but Tanjiro in the extra stated he looks more motivated now in the current letters. So Karma happened, might have been a moment where Yae is the one to motivate him. Also, I think he got depressed after his Hot Springs vacation with Uzui (who flirts with his wives). Its not hard to imagine since Kanao and Yushiro are both working for a cure.
