It’s so hard to tell when he’s so forceful and she contradicts herself when it comes to literally everything that has to do with him. I want to say she’s developing feelings but she’s struggling with the way he acts by saying “it’s always like this.” Idk it’s really hard to tell.

ok maybe „she didn’t know“ but she wasn’t clueless either. u can’t ignore every sign and then act shocked when things go exactly how everyone expected. ig she wanted to get deceived, just like the title says.

She didn't seem to have a lot of experience with this kind of thing to he fair. If you don't have a concept of how these people are you won't be able to quite tell and from at least what I've been reading she genuinely didn't actually catch those red flags just had her guard up at the beginning. I wouldn't blame her for that and she definitely doesn't deserve to be put on the same level as ML.

nah but that’s exactly the point he never forced her into anything. he did what he always does (flirt aka be a playboy) she kinda knew his reputation. she saw the signs as i mentioned she ain’t clueless and she still went along with it thinking she’d be the “exception” that’s not on him

yh maybe she lacked experience but that doesn’t excuse everything you don’t need experience to notice when something feels off she just chose to believe him. at the end of the day she’s an adult she can’t stay naive forever. i‘m not putting all the blame on her obviously, both of them are at fault. i only brought him up because no one else seemed to consider his side and i don’t get why everyone’s acting like it’s ONLY his fault. if the roles were reversed i bet everyone would play a different tune

She is a young adult...She IS naive yes but you made it seem like she is equally at fault. She is still the one deceived and the guy still had bad intentions. If you don't have a lot of experience you will either be naive or so doubtful of everyone that you won't move forward. Also wasn't she like early 20's most people around that age are still immature and don't know much including both the mc and ml in different ways.Yes she was dumb but she is still the victim and I'm sure if the roles were reversed it'd be the same because I'm pretty sure I've seen adult functional men get babied way more often in these spaces so I'm sure if the roles were reversed nothing is going to be changed. Yes she is stupid but doesn't change the fact that she is the victim here and it is still mostly his fault because he is the one with bad intentions.

Also just adding to this I did say fictional men would get babied. Obviously if it was real men I agree it would be a different story sometimes.
