my opinion on the random input of "knowing jooin in a past life"...
The author obviously needs some form of plot that will keep readers reading, not just good-looking characters. Sure it still needs direction but don't just judge a "random" plot point when you don't even know what happens next :)) i do understand that it does seem pretty random but i'm sure it'll make sense later !!
PLEASE notice that the author is NOT the same author as A Guy Like You. If there is any way for someone to change the list of other works by the author, please do so. People are judging this way too quickly because they see A Guy Like You listed with this manga. In my opinion, they have completely different vibes, and yeah some similarities, but they also have their differences.
