Ok so I am only in chapter 25 but I honestly can’t take the ceo seriously as a ML. HES BASICALLY A CHILD. Hear me out,
Whines when he’s hungry and then throws a tantrum when he isn’t fed fast enough.
When something makes him sad/ doesn’t go his way he basically hugs a pillow and puts himself in a timeout.
He has no idea how to compromise. It’s his way or the highway there is literally no in between.
I hope to see some character development because at this point all he is managing to do is make me laugh. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Ok so I rated this 1 star because I felt the story itself wasn’t good. Let’s be honest, there’s no real story here. This is meant for a light read when you are in the mood for smut. That said there are plenty of smut mangas with similar intentions that still managed to carry a semblance of a story. A beginning, climax, resolution, and ending. This manga fell short of that for me.
Now let me start this part by saying that my opinion is just that. MY opinion and how I view rape in manga as a survivor of sexual assault myself. Obviously this means that my personal experience effects my views so I don’t expect to change anyone’s mind or push my opinions onto others. Thankfully, my own experience was very different to what was in this manga. Usually, when I read a yaoi manga with rape I am okay. This is something that comes up in many mangas for some reason and while I am usually okay, when there is a rape scene between a man and a women that even slightly reminds me of my own trauma I freak out. So I do my best to avoid them.
While I understand both sides of the argument regarding romanticized rape in manga it’s a fact that this is something that comes up in manga but I believe rather then spending my time getting mad that it was even there, I’d rather do my best to insure that there are warnings for people who don’t want to read rape scenes. Wether it be because of preference or fear of reliving a trauma it’s important for there to be disclaimers and tags so those who want to/ should avoid it can. Also, the fact that we live in a world where we fear things like this poisoning minds by blurring the line between fantasy and real life it honestly sad. This is a story. They should obviously never be compared to real life. Rape is wrong. Period. As long as a person is aware that this is fantasy and rape is obviously not okay IRL then I could care less what they choose to read/ watch. This manga had disclaimers in the description which isn’t something I see often so for that fact alone i am thankful.
Ok so pause. I’m on chapter 23 and just finished meeting Edwards brother. I was LOVING this sibling relationship and envious af because all my brothers are super annoying BUT THEN..............(low key spoiler)...........
He made that evil villain face and called his brother foolish! I’m now terrified to keep reading if his brother turns out to be some evil mastermind ima be pissed! (╯°Д °)╯╧╧. someone spare me and tell me if he is evil or not
It's not really set in stone about whether he's good or evil yet. His methods are questionable but everything he does is for the good of others, and he called him foolish not out of hatred but love/worry. It's up to readers to determine whether he's good or bad, or somewhere in-between
Agree! Personally I love that Ivanov is not such a simple person. He is a shemer, ploting intrigues, but, from what I've read so far, it's hard to categorise him as evil.
