How do we feel about the anime? Tbh I was really let down. So many of the good things were cut out ╥﹏╥
the art in manga is much better for me. Ryouma in manga ver. has a child body but has a mature atmosphere. Anime ver. looks exactly like an innocent child you won't think he's actually an adult. Slime animation is a let down, the colors doesn't blend well makes their looks unappealing

The anime was such a let down it didn't do justice to the manga. My boi there looks soo...... eh..... and they changed a lot of scenes, like the fight with those people and the saving of those kids of the slums. The part where he was testing his new metal slime......

I mean you can go and see for yourself coz this is just my opinion so Idk how other thinks about the anime. Although I am grateful they made an anime to this masterpiece but I'm still diappointed with the outcome.
I’m glad we are all on the same page lol. The art and the overall the way they chose to carry out the story is very rushed. Like all the important things do happen but in a vague way and many of the great moments are missed which really sucks!
Totally agree that the air of maturity and elegant way Ryoma carries himself in the manga is completely lost in the anime.
I agree that the manga is better but i think the anime is still worth checking out. the art style isn't bad even if the manga's is better. but it's nice to see everyone animated and in motion. my main issue with the anime was actually the pace more than anything. it skipped a ton of details.
Personally dislike it. Lots of good scenes and great charcter dev got sliced the hell out. Tense moments become "haha funny I'm op" moments instead. Got really let down on how its portrayed but the art is nice. That's all I can give it credit for

For his case I wouldn't have wished death on her, cause he's in such a bad position. His mom isn't even reliable, she's a leech. And his only house will soon disappear, even if she was mentally abusive, she still provided a house for him to stay in. I still cant help but not care about the grandma dying tho lol.
Had he still been alone and socially isolated like he was in the beginning of the story then I could understand where you are coming from. But he no longer is. He has people who care for him deeply. Who would be willing and able to help him if needed. In this case, continuing to stay in a emotionally abusive and soul crushing home environment is not the answer. That would do so much more damage to a person then being homeless.
Also, yes his grandmother died and that’s his family so it’s sad but I can guarantee you it’s not sad because that’s his grandmother and he loved her. It’s because that’s his grandmother and never, not even for one moment did she show an ounce of love for him. She will never say anything remotely positive to him or make him feel appreciated or safe. THAT is what’s fucking sad about this. Not that she’s dead. But that she died before he could ever see some semblance of love from her and he really needed that.
Like seriously, how tf is this so GOOD!? I was abt ready to drop it ngl. Trash characters as far as the eye could see and then boom, everything goes to shit and then there is actual character development like...WHATTTT. Fuck, I’m so conflicted because it was so toxic but it’s so goooood.
Some people are really bashing the FL from the first chapter and y’all have obviously (and thankfully) never been in a brainwashing/toxic relationship. Listen, sometimes a person can fall so completely in love with someone that they are literally blind to everything else around them. It’s a form of brainwashing and is SUPER toxic but it happens. It makes someone excuse UNEXCUSABLE behavior and frankly makes them seem like an idiot. They ruin all other connections to family and friends in their life too. Which as we can see the FL did as well. Yes, it was hard to watch and yes, she did seem like an idiot but you have to come at it from an angle of understanding. It’s a form of abuse. I can’t say it wasn’t entirely her fault because what we saw was vague at best but it isn’t entirely on her. And as we can see. FL from chapter one and the Fl from now on are two entirely different people. I think the story will continue to get better and frankly that’s something I’d like to see.
no literally. i've had family members (that are thankfully out of the abusive relationship they were in) in situations like that. you get gaslit and convinced that the treatment you're receiving is what you deserve. i'm getting so annoyed that these people in the comments are making fun of her trauma and calling her stupid. i feel like half the people in the comments would side with the abuser in a real life situation. maybe she was not being the smartest, but you don't blame and get mad at the victim.
