at first kaneki came to haise as kinda demented and scary at first but gradually became little white boy lol so dosent that mean kaneki has been awake this whole time but was scared of hasie so kaneki let the ghoul side of him handle him but when hinami stepped in it woke the human side of him into protective mode.and with that kaneki had to face haise to save hinami.so he used the same methhood as he did previously before with himself showing up as a child to show hasie he is not scary but a sad weak child that needs protecting
