Sooo often people refuse to read stories with 'weak' or 'meek' female characters.
Finally, we have a complex female lead that is strong willed, confident to the point of arrogance, kind without being unnaturally generous and noble to a fault.
She has been raised as an object and through her intellect, wit and incredible physical abilities she has NOT ONLY escaped. She has gained a MF title, personal wealth and her independence.
The colouring for the ML and their sister is always so dark and menacing. But their dynamic seems pretty normal(?) for 2 ridiculously overpowered siblings?
I'm still on chp.32 and their discussion and the ending look of disappointment (from the ML's sister) & resignation/embarrassment (from the ML) is actually hilarious
I don't at all blame the FL for accepting the apology from the ML's parents. After all the trauma she's experienced in her former life and as Edith, an apology meant a lot to her.
However, the ML's father can go take a running jump Not once was he fair and not once was he even rational in 99% of his judgements. Even without the author, he still seems....unnecessarily rigid.
He should've gotten on his knees and bowed in apology!
Also, that point about 'If there is an issue, I'll go to you (the FL) to sort it out from now on...'
