I feel like everyone here is a victim. Tbh i thought this will be a very typical story but its better than expected
I honestly liked the part when she talked with the previous duke(grandfather) where he mentioned that while the FL views his dad as a loving and loyal father, he will forever view his father as a son who abandoned his father and brother for a woman. And his feelings were very valid tbh- they offered to help the FL's family multiple times but the FL's dad pride prevented him from seeking help and kept rejecting those offers.
I honestly like how we can see the perspective from each characters: FL, the mom and the grandfather-allpwing us to empathize them better

Tbh I kinda feel sorry for the duke and his biological son- not only were they both abandoned by the wife, they were also denied/derpived the opportunity to meet and raise the biological daughter
I feel like the duke would have been an amazing dad. And even the biological son, you can see how he treats his step sister, i feel like he would have been an amazing big bro too :(
I kinda lost after that chapter: did fl reveal the truth to the duke? The fact that the wife was originally a spy and the fact that she ran away with their unborn 2nd child? Im dying of curiosity here or I may have missed that part
i think it they assumed what it was given that FL got kidnapped lol
Nooo, personally speaking(based on my understanding), the FL kept the fact that the duke's wife was a spy and he had a daughter. Remember when Rinia(the duke's daughter's spirit) took over camilla's body and went to the baby breaths garden and hugs the duke? The duke was confused on why is camilla was acting weird and asking for a hug because he doesn't know that it was his child that was hugging him + I do think that the FL wants to keep it a secret not to ruin the perfect image of the duke's wife before running away. Afterall, he genuinely love his wife and maybe the FL's doesn't want the duke to think that their relationship with his wife was just a facade.
Tho, this is just simply my own understanding.
Also, I think it was also Raina who want to keep it. Afterall, if she really wants to her father to know about her, she should have just told the duke when she took camilla's body, but she told camilla that she doesn't want to because it will prevent her from wanting to leave.
low-key from what i understood he knew it wasn’t camila bc he did say it was strange but it was relaxing
Thank you
Thank you for this. Had the same thoughts but had to clarify in case I missed something
