Honestly, to the people who's saying she's trying to rile him up, is that really true? To me, it kinda looks like she's just pissed that she can't use him (yet) and really though he became popular and successful THREE whole years later and who's to say that she riling him up will awaken his artistic creativity? I disagree. If he sensitive to the point that he will break down and stop doing what he loves then he shouldn’t become an artist. I may seem harsh but it’s life. People is gonna hate or dislike your art but that shouldn’t stop you from doing what you love instead of showing the haters what they want he should ignore and continue doing what makes him happy and don’t care about what others think. He changed the way he draws just to make people happy and for money. Is that a bad thing? Of course not. He needed to make money someway but he shouldn’t have to stop drawing/painting the way he love just to appease people. The mc was basically giving him a wake up call. Sure she could have been a bit nicer about it but at least he would actually think about what she said.
Well, my point is that I think she's just mad and not really thinking about him ¯_(ツ)_/¯ and honestly, it varies from people to people? Who knows what happens in his past life maybe he had a revelation, maybe he was (still) developing his style in private (kinda seems unlikely), criticism may not always be the cause of one's growth that's all :/
In this situation though her criticism will be his growth. (Of course since this is just a book.) truthfully I don’t think she mad. She seems more annoyed than mad. But if he does start drawing with his style then he will be indebted to her because she “helped” him and because of that he will be useful to her. And honestly she has no point to be thinking about him since she is trying to save herself and her biological parents from death. Like i said she could have been more nicer about it and hopefully she did pay him for his time (doesn’t look like she did tho.) and if you stop doing what you love because of criticism then that your problem not theirs. Not everyone is gonna be nice and tip toe around you so they don’t hurt your feelings. It’s life and at the end of the day you have the choice to continue what you love or stop because of a little criticism.
But let’s just agree to disagree. At least we can agree that she was hella rude even if she had a “good reason”. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Mad/pissed/annoyed/dissapointed those kinds of feelings~ and when I said "she's not really thinking about him" I meant to refer back to the comments about her riling him up, I think she hadn't the slightest intention to do that even though it did attribute to that lmao as shown in this chapter and also irl most people won't have 2nd thoughts about hurting other people's feelings especially strangers but I was just speaking in general that even if she meant to rile him up, it doesn't /automatically/ leads to his growth as an artist, it could even leads to /delays/ to his growth or maybe even downfall since I don't think she knew what he was going through atm just that :)
And that on him not her. If it leads to his downfall or delays his growth then he let it become that way even if she was “riling him up” Truthfully speaking the story will go on with or without him because the mc will continue using people as a stepping stone to get the ending she wants. So if he stop being an artist or if it slows his progress because of some criticism then that on nobody but him and he can’t even afford to stop drawing since he using his skills to get money. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
