I have a question I’ve always wondered about
Whenever there’s an introduction of a mortal and a God, the mortal usually doesn’t believe in God. I always wondered, like especially in cases like these, how can someone be a nonbeliever in any God if they manifest and talk to them directly? Like Eugene, sure didn’t talk to them directly because he’s a nonbeliever, but everything pointed to signs of these Gods existing, so how can he still be a nonbeliever?
It’s not a complaint or anything like that or a plot hole but I swear in every single story that has a mortal meeting a God, they stay a nonbeliever cuz I mean shit, if I were Atheist and God came up to me and was like “what’s up, I exist,” I would convert right then and there

Nah you do make sense don’t worry and I totally get what you mean and I agree with you on some manhwas, but take this one for example, Eugene hadn’t spoken to the Gods but they still talk to him (of course through his old body that oh Eugene possesses) while our Eugene talks to the sky to talk to the Gods, meaning that he knows fairly well that they exist but he’s still a nonbeliever. Using your flat Earther example, it’s kinda like if you have the flat Earther see every piece of evidence that the Earth is round, they agree the Earth is round, and then still keep their title of flat Earther. It’s like how can you directly see, talk, and agree they exist only to be titled a nonbeliever.
I also read a different manhwa where his love interest was LITERALLY the daughter of God, he directly met the God and is literally traveling through heaven and hell that exist to MEET this God physically again and kill him, and yet his whole thing is that he’s the only nonbeliever because he refuses to believe, but how is that possible, you can’t just not believe someone doesn’t exist despite knowing full well they do, belief in this case isn’t a mindset but rather something innate

Ohhhh it’s coming together, I could be completely wrong but I’ve been trying to follow this and if true that then intend the mc to be the next vessel then that makes sense as to why they they sent him here. Because they knew the ml would face off Hyeol Seon, they probably intended to for them to fall in love so when time came that Hyeol was resurrected in the mc, that the ml would be unable to kill him due to his love for the mc? (Cuz he’d have to kill both)
That also brings up the point of Qi Obstruction, the whole point the ml intended to be the vessel himself was because Qi Obstruction would kill him and Hyeol Seon, so wouldn’t it be the same issue with the mc who also has Qi Obstruction? But then I remember that the mc intended on casting away his Qi Obstruction from the beginning so maybe that’s also part of the plan, have the mc cast off his disability, have the ml fall in love with him, and be practically unstoppable as Hyeol Seon’s vessel

Actually a really good message and moral of the story at the end, to not be sad at someone’s death but rather happy that they live through you and cherish every moment you had from them.
In all seriousness I’m glad it’s over because it was clearly taking a toll on the author but it was definitely a good story. Not my favorite, but I’d read it again and it was a good take on the “dying but possession another guy’s body and re-meeting someone from their past life” trope, probably my favorite AMONG the tropes, yall can hate me for that, but it’s the only one I didn’t drop and could read through LOL
