I think people put to much stake in the DID affiliation. It's two parallel worlds, the real world and the world of Silence the book.

The Huimin we've been with is from the real world, and the Ilheon he became friends with is the one from the book after he isekaied after his death in the book, that's why the Ilheon in the book has those pictures and knows the real world Huimin.

As I understand it Ilheon has been trying to rewrite the story of Silence after he saw how amazing his life in the real world with Huimin is. I have my suspicions that Ilheon has known for a while that the Huimin that is currently in the book, is the real world Huimin, and that's why he doesn't want him to leave...

Spoilers ahead!

But like big spoilers - I've read the raws and there were like 10 chapters ahead



So it's like this:
- Silence happened,
- Iheon died, Huimin made a desperate wish before his death "if we were friends instead, would we be happy?"
- the school life world was created with Huimin having no memories of Silence and Iheon being reincarnated at the point shown in the latest chapter
- School life world is a simulation revolving around Huimin and only progresses when it involves Huimin, time literally stops when he ks not in the area.
- School life has fixed plot pints which are the drawings Huimin did while he lived in Silence
- Iheon can not confess, the wold prohibits it
- the School world has a fixed point in time where it will fall apart and 'finish'
- Iheon doesn't want them to finish living as friends so he makes sure Huimin gets to read the book Silence

- Huimin wakes up reborn in Silence in the cage scene with only his memories from School World
- Iheon doesn't have his memories at first, I think he gets them back (the school ones and previous life ones) somewhere around Huimins heat after they spend it together

Ah gotcha so what I’m understanding is that in a way both of them are real
So basically the school world was created by Huimin and his wish and does actually exist, but does that mean that the Huimin from school life is also the Huimin from Silence or are they still separate beings?
I think I got the gist of it for everything except if Huimin is the same person or not so thank you for clearing up the confusion, I don’t mind for any spoilers or major spoilers, if anything it actually helps me read because I can understand better whats going on lol

Thanks for this! I think the spoilers or rather even tags that explains the themes would've been better for us going into this without having to rely on conjecture... I was confused why people kept saying Huimin had DID (which i now understand they incorrectly termed but alas) rather he lived in two time lines unknowingly.

The school world will exist temporarily, think of it kind of like being in a game? No one besides Huimin and Iheon will remember that world

And from what I understand, Huimin lived though Silence, got reborn into the School world without memories and now woke up in the current Universe with his memories from School world but without his memories from Silence. Because Current Huimin has flashbacks from the Silence, I do believe that he is the same Huimin in all 3 worlds, but has yet to recover the original memories.

Ngl the author was quite creative with the timelines xD

Dude yeah genuinely what makes this one my favorites atm is how crazy and creative the storyline is, like the art, characters, whatever could be ASS and I’d still read it with how crazy this plot has been so far and how interesting everyone’s theories are.
Thank you for clearing things up for me, I know I could wait and figure this all out then but genuinely what made me enjoy this so much was all the theories and going through it KNOWING what’s happening. Cuz like now we can follow Iheon from the first chapter in his POV and now thanks to you I can see his approach to succeed in being Huimin back to Silence without ruining their friendship and how he recognizes school Huimin before he regained his memories. Gosh it just makes me even more excited to see more chapters (≧∀≦) I could go ON forever about all my theories

I think after they reveal how the whole timeline works, you'll have a lot fun re-reading this story from the very beginning

If you enjoy such twists and turns in the plot and like video games, I highly recommend playing 13 Sentinels Aegis Rim (or watch the playthrough on youtube, it has around 40h and can be watched like a movie/podcast)

I can't think of another manga title at the moment, there have been too many titles I've read to easily sift though xD

I totally agree. They're the same, but not. And they're distinct enough in looks and personalities to be their own person, plus the jealousy, it's 100% a head trip grey area on the cheating.

I would agree if they don't share memories. At that point, it's cruel to not share Nux when their happy memories are mostly about him. I hate harem, you would see me avoid it like a plague but.. these people are Owen. Like Nux suggest, one way or another he want to love and marry them all.

I noticed a lot of ppl feel the same as you. And its nothing wrong with it. Its great that we all have different view points. If it makes you feel better think of it as a poly relationship. It might help a bit to turn off the cheating switch.

I'm the opposite I prefer he treats the other Owens as separate people and I wish he would treat them better instead of only focusing on the main Owen but it's whatever I told myself not to think about it anymore just let it go and ride it out

Yeah but he said that he’s with the others because of Main Owen so his love for others won’t be the same. It’s like loving someone’s (Main) other aspects (other Owens).

They aren’t separate, so Nux wouldn’t. And I can see why OP feels this way, it is a unique concept ngl and instead of diff personalities, it’s bodies with same memories and same person but clones

As for the sex part, not sure why Nux has to have sex with others. Or he is just doing it because he wants to, and since Main Owen is the others.

That’s how I feel. But I’m also thinking the jealousy stems from lack of self love. If Main Owen can’t love himself, he isn’t loving his other aspects/other Owens.

It does feel like forced poly though, with how Main Owen is uncomfortable and yknow. But Nux is trying to reassure him.

I wish something happened for me to accept that they’re all one person. They are but yeah. Maybe when Main Owen and Handkerchief stops being jealous after gaining self love? I think it’s the jealousy that makes me super uncomfortable and not sure.

I feel like all Owens are somewhat jealous, the Main Owen’s jealousy is spreading to his other inner parts/other Owens.

Sorry for bunch of replies. I also feel like it’s hard to grasp the concept of same person, just clones, because of many readers that try to separate them and treat them as if they’re all separate.

I understand that and I'm not saying your wrong or anything. I just view the Owen's as different ppl although their technically the same person because of the different personalities even though it's just different versions of himself throughout his life span. But I still feel like his love for the main Owen shouldn't be different since they're all versions of him. So to me I feel like the love should be equal. Then we are constantly seeing how the other Owen's are deeply in love with him & feel neglected while he doesn't feel the same. It kinda feels unfair to me. I would rather the author just magically merged them all together as 1. Because as the story continues & I see the other Owens trying but getting push to the back it makes me sad. Because i am viewing it as polyship to process it better. But I learned this is just a story where I can't think to deeply into. I just gotta take it for what it is and keep moving.

And he averted or evaded when Tan Owen asked him if he was putting up with the rest because of Main Owen.

I just think it makes since his love for all isn’t the same. Again, it’s like loving some aspects of Main Owen. Without Main Owen, the others wouldn’t be there nor would Nux want to.

They are all different versions, so his love for them is different versions. That’s how I see it.

I would also love the merge. I’m so uncomfortable by the jealousy.

I’ve been trying to think of it that way but with the main Owen being super jealous and even beating them up when they even think about Nux in a loving way, going out of his way to keep them away from Nux, and then Nux not having feelings for them at all and only putting up with them really does not make it feel that way lmao it does feel more like one of those harems where the mc is dating/married to one but all the other girls just won’t go away and keep flirting with him even when he doesn’t have feelings for them and hot gf clearly is jealous. And I HATE those tropes, not saying I hate this one because again my brain is super confused on how to feel about it but poly is far away from what my brain is thinking about all this based on the characters’ mindsets, if that makes sense I’m really bad at wording

I agree honestly. Why is Nux being intimate with others if he doesn’t love the rest romantically like he does with Main Owen? Unless it was said in story that he HAS to be intimate with other selves of Main Owen like a customary rule. Even then, this all feels forced and just icky.

It’s more reasonable that Main Owen is jealous because to him, the other Owens aren’t exactly him. And Nux saying that adds more tension tbh.

I think what really gets me is it feels like Nux and the other Owens have to put up with each other, like he HAS to kiss and have sex with the other Owens because they’re the same person, but then they feel jealousy over each other, fight for Nux’s affection secretly or physically, and like honestly I feel like the memories share thing is just straight up forgotten other than “ahhh I guess main Owen will beat me up for this” and it’s like dawg Σ( ￣□￣||) what I mean is that they’re treated more like separate beings with no connections more than 5 versions of the same dude with shared memories and the way they interact with each other leans more towards a harem or forced cheating rather than an actual poly/mono (if you can even have that as an option) relationship. A part of me kinda hopes for it to move more into a merging direction (doesn’t necessarily have to turn 5 people into 1 but just make it more clear it’s the same person rather than Owens who are forced to marry Nux whether they like him or not and Nux who is forced to like them to marry main Owen and then main Owen and handkerchief Owen be fully jealous of everyone)

Reading your replies and posts I definitely think that you have a similar thought process to mine, I already kinda went over it in my other two replies so I won’t spam my message board with it but you definitely cleared up what was so confusing for me, it literally is because they’re moving away from making them the same person and trying to distinct them while trying to keep the jealousy and whatnot to the point it feels like forced cheating like “I HAVE to have an affair with this person to keep my marriage from falling apart” which makes sense in the context of they’re all the same person but they really do nothing to keep that mindset other than an occasional reminder. I do agree there needs to be some type of merging (like I mentioned before doesn’t have to be merging 5 people into 1) could just be making them more similar just so they could stop moving away from the wholesome poly/mono relationship and prevent any further jealousy and physical abuse, so I don’t feel like I’m watching an affair every time Nux kisses or has sex with another Owen

Merging would be heavenly. But I’m sure readers who want sixsome wouldn’t be so happy but yeah…maybe like they can switch back and forth with being one body and back to five?

You worded that nicely. This is the logic I don’t get: “I have to have an affair with another part of my partner because I want to be with my partner.”

Which makes sense because they’re all one, but Nux not seeing them as one and Main Owen being insecure is just tense and not right feeling.

If you don’t see them as one, what is the reason for being intimate with the others? And you know there’s jealousy, why not talk more about that?

It’s not even the poly being issue, it’s the jealousy and just annoying concept of same person but many bodies and timeline memories. Ahhh!!!

I knowwww and what makes things worse is that I don’t even think he can NOT have an affair with them (I’ll just call it that for now even if it’s not technically an affair I don’t know what else to call it lol)
Because with the shared memories they also are forced to like Nux whether they want to or not so I feel like it would be mind torturing for them to love this guy and have sex and be married with him but only in their memories/dreams while they’re forbidden from Nux or Nux refuses to love them back which is just torturing.
I just wish there was a way that didn’t make it feel like an affair while also giving them the love they deserve and if losing 4 pretty well made characters and merging them to one will solve it then honestly it’s a good sacrifice cuz either way I feel like this relationship would burn with the jealousy of being too distinct with the torture of being similar enough

Author made this too complicated. It should’ve just been 5 different guys or at least little jealousy and strict communication. Just a 6some wholesome relationship, communication and fun. Fuckkk

Everyone feels differently about this. Some don’t care and are excited for smut, some overthink like me, and some think all is the problem.

Owen being Owen, of course they love Nux. But Nux also like them all except maybe hesitating on military Owen, cause he kidnapped him.. Other than that he is also actively searching for handkerchief Owen, and dreamed of the other 2 Owen. He is not opppose to the relationship, but rather anxious of the Owens being jealous of each other. At the end of the day I really think that Owen just need to accept all 6 of them can have a healthy relationship without gatekeeping Nux for himself 24/7

HAHA yeah I noticed every type of person you mentioned in the comments. I’m definitely the type to overthink cuz I just love looking really in-depth with stories and getting into the characters’ shoes. I’ve also seen a lot of people hate the main Owen because his jealousy is the main problem which I totally agree, but I can see where he’s coming from. Because he’s the one who loved Nux and wanted Nux while the other Owens started liking Nux because of him.
So I can see where his jealousy is coming from so I feel a little bad for him because he genuinely wants to be Nux’s one and only the way Nux is to him but can’t because of his race, so I can’t bring myself to hate him or blame him for being jealous

Genuinely one of my hopes is that Nux splits into 5, I genuinely think that would be perfect not just for the relationship issues but also for poor Nux. Boy can’t keep up with 5 Owens it would just be nice for there to be a Nux for each Owen and definitely solve all of the issues in this manhwa
