It seems like most people use that website, but I hate the UI
I will always choose here unless the story isn’t here. Anyways, I sometimes get that problem. Refreshing the page a few times usually helps, but not always.

i tried reloading and switching vpn in and stuff, but it's still so slow i had fo switch to my data connection before it would load

i really dislike the comment section per chapter thing b*to has going on. it's mostly because the readers on that site seem to be really, really vanilla people who've also never interacted with another human being before. i enjoy reading comments on individual ch to see people's reaction, but when they keep calling fucking SIWON from love for sale "sus" and "not a green flag" i just know there's no hope for folks on that site (fyi, he's a really normal dude who has a character flaw - which is a plot point - and said flaw is dealt with in the story that spans over 100+ chapters. ppl were complaining about his character before the story could even give him a character development). it's filled with weird puritanical people who see characters as either green flag or red flag.

Omg. I actually really like the concept of comments under chapters. But I totally agree with you about “love for sale” because I kept seeing the same things when I was reading it and I was like??? Yeah maybe he could show a litttlee more interest than just talking about using his money for dating, but there’s nothing about him that pointed towards being a red flag.

it irritated me so much because siwon being so hung up on the money part and unwilling to change, to even think of falling for the mc without mc using his money (or being *used* for something) IS the main conflict of this story. he has a low self esteem due to his childhood, he doesn't think anyone is capable of loving him without expecting something in return, he doesn't think *he's* capable of being loved unconditionally and so he's content to stay stagnant (?) / unchanging. that's the conflict in mc and siwon's relationship.
and the whole time i just see ppl complaining that siwon doesn't love mc, he's too obsessed with money. and wow it's like that's the whole point! you're on ch30 of a 100+ chapter story and complaining that the ML is shitty and has a personality problem. let him breathe?? give him some time to better himself? give the author some time to develop his character? meanwhile the commenters are talking about how they don't like him, how he's a red flag. if siwon is a red flag then every other ML in any yaoi is not-even-in-the-electromagnetic-spectrum flag

BAD APPLE ITS AMAZING!! i think another one that fits your taste is “roses and champagne” (i didn’t like it at all but people usually compare it to passion, the art style and the ml didn’t fit my style and it didn’t hook me). i feel like i’ve also read another one similar to those, i’ll search and come back!!

yeah i know of roses and champagne. tbh the bottom feels much more,,, smaller than the top compared to the other manhwas i mentioned? even tho he's not that small. and the art didn't appeal to me that much but i think i'll read it anyway. and thank you, please give me more suggestions, i'll eat them up

HELLO!!! I have another recommendation, you probably already read it tho… it’s not action based like passion or codename but it has characters similar to what you described, it’s “Lost in the cloud”, no smut but there is a lot of tension, school life, and it’s kinda angsty. Also there is this novel i’m planning to read that it’s giving the vibes we are looking for, it’s called “Things that deserve to die” you can find in novelupdates. When i’m done w my exams i’ll start reading it so i’ll tell you if it’s fits this kind of genre!!!

i have seen lost in the clouds around, but i never really got around to reading it partly because it seemed really emotionally intense as the mc might have been SAed in the past and was dealing with the trauma? i'm not sure but that's the vibe i got anyway.
i will check the novel out! i have some really important exams coming up as well but here i am shamelessly begging for more recs
