this is how i understood the story by far:
non-omegaverse/highschool world is a FAKE world created through huimin’s desperation (i guess) despite us thinking that this was where he originated from. the tragic story in the book is their actual past life and after dying they came (isekaid) to this fake world. at some point they returned to their original world with alphas and omegas but they went back in time before everything was completely fucked. MC returned earlier than ML and with no memories of his past life because of trauma ig so he thought that the fake world was his real life. ML returned later (i dont remember exactly when but there were hints about it i think) which is why he was still a piece of shit early on but he remembers both their original past life and the highschool au so now he wants to fix everything.

i did the right choice of reading spoilers back when this was only like 10 chapters in because i can keep up with what’s happening like theres been a bunch of hints from earlier chapters that alot of the readers probably missed or didnt understand because this point of the story is basically just confirmation of what was being hinted out
