I get there's been misunderstandings and that everyone's hurting in their own way, but the way she was constantly underestimated and pushed aside in her own home... Imagine the toll it must've had on her, mentally. She wanted to be useful, but they undermine her confidence until all she could do was go out and attend social gatherings. She didn't have anyone in that huge mansion. She had no worth. And then she was about to have a child, and all she would be good for would be raising that child so that he'd take over for his father someday. Her fate and her actions kept being decided by others. It's no wonder she felt so miserable. Like, wth, ML? Supposedly you love her, yet you treat her like a trophy wife? Her thoughts never mattered to you? She's got a good family background, good social standing and that's all you saw? Some shallow love that is.
True, but i gotta say the husband was seen in pervious chapters to have actual feelings for mc but doesn't know how to express it, thus explains his disdain by mc's choice of words, that is "best choice". Although I do agree on the topic of undermining her confidence, whether its intentional or not, he still did that and i will never forgive him until he realizes his mistake. What she went through is truly a hard experience, depression during and after pregnancy's are severe even in a happy marriage, just imagine what she went through with no support, appreciation of efforts, amount of pressure and the overall shutting her out. And on that point even after pregnancy she has all these other issues that slowly destroys her... Ahh all i wish is for her happiness. :'(

majority of you are forgetting something , her depression 80%came from his family they raise her to be a good wife and for they to rise in power, with that cand of character ( under pressure) she will 90% go depression because even you marry a gentleman you will get pregnant immediately and u will focus on the son , because there is no condom and neither a contraceptive; she chose without knowing the personality of the future husband

I don't think they meant that, i believe they meant to say that there is still a chance for the husband to change for the better. And I believe rather than "she should be grateful she wasn't abuse", its "we(the reader's) should be grateful thats not the case and that the husband has a chance to change for the better". But I completely agree on your premise that him being decent does not matter since she still suffered, his actions is still very much unforgivable but the chance of it being redeemable is still undecided. All I'm hoping to see is the husband's development and more on the progress of happiness of our mc hehe:))

sorry I am not talking about that, is obvious to everyone that she suffers and the sense of hopelessness was not good for her, but the ml tried what he can , sometimes when you think that the things you are doing for a person were right , afterward you discover that it was not useful
