Also, the clothing is a lot more inspired with a mix of 1700-1800 fashion with a couple of modern pieces. If you’re going to keep mentioning medieval times in a fantasy world, we might as well see fire ovens, accurate fashion, and lack of modern inventions present.
The author made deliberate choices as to which modern things can be passed into the fantasy world, and they chose to not focus on mental health. Since the world’s technology focuses on magic, shouldn’t someone’s state of mind be important to take care of if their magic might cause an accident?
