I understand there has to be some kind of hurdle but this trope is used a lot and I never understand it. Ppl can spare a text or a 5 min call jo matter what. They always have to go home and sleep or shower, there is time. It also doesn't match his personality to do this so I don't understand what the plan would be with this.
