This feels like if under the greenlight and 19 days had a child
This manhwa is actually really astute when it comes to human psychology...I was a good kid who didn't want to depend on adults/be a burden and that turned me into the worst people pleaser ever, I didn't know how to complain or ask for help it was a pain to undo as I grew up and I'm still not done to this day (╯°Д °)╯╧╧
Dear translator, good luck with work and also I want you to know that the way you make the disclaimer pictures makes me feel like I'm still in 2008 and I mean that in the most loving way possible. Thank you for the uploads!!!
I knew for years there was a sequel but it was taking a long time to be released so I kinda forgot about it. I saw some really strong negative comments about it so I decided to read it anyway, even if I might regret it.
I'll admit that I was kinda bored whenever the story wasn't about Kato and Iwaki. I love Yousuke but the whole Shou thing really annoyed me. I'm glad in the end, Yousuke was his closest "son". The last chapters broke me but to me, this isn't a sad or a bad ending. This is the way Youka Nitta wanted to end it and I'm proud of her for taking that risk and leave this story behind with no regrets.
Also I might be biased because I LOVE robots and sci-fi but that afterward story with their reincarnations just....AHHH. I loved it. I love that their souls are entering reincarnations together all the time. "For every version of me, I hope there's a version of you".
I love that Youka Nitta chose to take a stand about Japan still refusing to legalize same sex marriage. She already did so twenty years ago and this was her last "fuck you" to the conservatives. "You won't legalize it? Fuck you, Iwaki will!"
Yes this sequel is really flawed but I think that it's okay because you can choose to reject and ignore it and live forever with the first story as your true ending.
As for me, I know I won't reread this sequel the way I love to revisit the original story but I'll look back on it fondly. Because they'll be together forever, in every universe possible.
