Unfortunately, if reverse isn't shown more often, it's because japanese bl's fans don't like that, they prefer fixed roles otherwise it's confusing for them (no kidding I talked to japanese bl's fans and I was really surprised how important it is to have a fixed seme and fixed uke -talking within a same couple, not a case where a character can be the seme in a relationship and a uke in an other one).
