Only got to chapter 16 but I'm dropping it. Characters are kinda dumb and shallow and the plot is a mess. ML telling mc that she's "just as bad" as people who bully and assault others because she *checks notes* pretended to date him, which he agreed to, was so dramatic lol.
Mc also owns the house they all live in, but for some reason doesn't kick out her abusive/neglectful family even tho she isn't relying on them financially. Brown hair second ml is really confusing, why mc doesn't hate him even tho he was kissing and talking shit with her cousin is beyond me. Cousin is classic "evil pretty feminine girl who is insecure and hates mc even tho she has no reason to", would prefer the villain to have actual motivations but ok. Hard to get invested in any of the conflicts when they're so nonsensical.

Woooow, Mr. Kim really let Seungho have it this chapter guys. I can't believe he worked up the nerve to tell SH that he was acting like his dad. Mr kim probably got hit for that one.
I'm not sure how much of heena and NK's conversation he heard, but he definitely heard the "he will only bring you misfortune" bit. He's up in his feelings about that one no doubt. Not sure what he'll do about it tho, I kinda get the feeling he might try to send NK away at some point.
This hiatus is gonna feel so long even tho it's only a month

He will let him leave in my opinion. I wonder how it will turn out with Min's plan and stuff. Learned shit will be back soon it seems. She's adding drama over drama. I don't know at what point she lost the harmony of her writing or maybe she was planning to make it that monotonous from the beginning but I feel like even the darkest stories have some kind of bright moments. POTN is lacking it so far. I hope her break will help her clear things out. It looks like we won't see Nakyum smile before S3... if ever it happens!

So the chapter starts off with Heena and Nak-yum hugging, Mr Kim comes in and tells them to be quick because Seungho will be back soon. Heena Thanks him and Mr kim leaves, one of the other servants is questioning his actions but Mr kim brushes her off.
After that the scene cuts to Jihwa laying in bed in pain with hickeys around his neck. He's mumbling to himself about how "raw" he is because of No names inexperience. Then Min drops in for a visit, telling Jihwa that lord Yoon is on his way (as if he didn't send him there). Just then they hear banging and we see SH outside with a sword. He storms his way inside, starts throwing stuff around and demands to know Jihwas whereabouts. Jihwas father comes in and they argue, the argument ends with Seungho agreeing to leave but he first stabs his sword through the screen next to him and almost into Jihwas head as that was where he and Min were hiding.
SH proclaims that if he ever touches Na-kyum again, or if he ever sees Jihwas face, he'll kill him. SH then leaves and Min and Jihwa come out of hiding. Min tells Jihwa that he still wants a taste of NK, and that he has a plan.
I figured Min would be the one to make things worse, NK can't catch a break. Not sure what their plan is since SH is probably going to be guarding NK like a hawk, it won't be as easy to get to him as it was last time

Can we all mutually agree to not acknowledge the tattoos existence? If we pretend it's not there, maybe it'll go away ( ̄∇ ̄")

Technically you can since there isn’t too much significance to it other than it’s sentimental status to Daiki, but Imma warn you now, that is not the last time you see the tat, and I can almost guarantee a close up in one of the future scenes, so Goodluck. I just rather imagine it touched up with a darker background and some dimensions, but as someone who also owns tattoos on their person, I can also admit that is not as bad a tattoo as some I have on me and others I have seen.

So at the very least NK is back inside the house now. I honestly thought SH was gonna keep him locked in the shed.
The two wake up to a bunch of chaos because NK's noona has barged her way into SH's property and is demanding to see NK. NK tries to go speak to her but SH grabs ahold of him and they argue. NK blocks the door in an attempt to keep SH from leaving but SH isn't particularly bothered.
The scene cuts and SH is outside talking to NK's sister. First claiming ignorance, then saying NK is there out of his own free will. Then we see NK tied up, kicking things around SH's room. (I thought this was kinda funny ngl)
Also, mr kim seems to be struggling a lot. Both kim and the doctor have some knowledge on what transpired. But both are currently refusing to speak out of fear that SH will kill them.

As much as I understand it, I was disappointed by servant Kim's choice at the end. It only exposes, once again, how unstable, violent and impulsive SH is. His character is way too consistent. It's frightening. He is exactly like his old self. The one we've seen in the first chapter of this manhwa. Cold with no pity. He managed to temper his violence because of Nakyum and that was a huge character development but now that he feels betrayed, there's no need for him to make any effort. He is powerful and violent. As much as he is fragile and caring. What a paradox. Such a complex and interesting character! We can either hate him or understand him. I don't think he is meant to be loved by the audience.

I was disappointed as well, but I don't think Mr. Kim's choice is permanent. I think he'll do it anyway later on, because it's clear he's become fond of NK. And he was hesitating a lot. As for Seungho, I agree. I absolutely love corrupt, complicated characters, and I really want to see what path the author has laid out for SH
Blonde emperor is so damn punchable. Misogynistic D bag who sleeps with women that remind him of his mommy. Not even a good political leader and extremely easily manipulated. Genuinely hope the FL and ML usurp the throne or something, if not the nation is doomed.
