I know everyone is annoyed with this chapter but I genuinely feel like flashbacks like this are important for understanding not Kang mincheol's character, but for understanding Na Haesoo and why she grieves so deeply.
She was all alone, drowning in poverty and stuck with an abusive father. To her, Kang mincheol was like a savior. And quickly became all she really had. Watching his affection for her fade over time, she probably blamed herself, especially with stuff like the miscarriage. Now she's being forced to come to terms with the fact that the only person who ever loved her may not have ever loved her at all.
Kinda sucks that some people seem more interested in just watching her bang Taeha than seeing her heal and actually fall in love again.
I feel like maybe Jin didn't just erase his own memories, but created a new split personality for himself since he knew his original one was unlovable and it would be hard to survive the outside world if everyone hated him? I do have the suspicion that the "original" Jin will return in one way or another.
its revealed that charin told jin to be stupid so he became stupid, its like his power and real personality was locked behind his subconsciousness
Yeah, but he became a bit stupid a while later once he realized Charin didn't like him being smart. To me, the biggest question isn't his intelligence, it's his empathy. Why was Jin suddenly not creepy or psychopathic anymore after losing his memories? Idk tho, I'm probably thinking about it the wrong way (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
Yeah, I think he really was a little bit of a psychopath. But Machine A hold him to "become human" by integrating in society and following orders.
There are missing scenes in the chapters uploaded here. Jin confessed to Tehir that he ate his classmates corpses, that's why Tehir said he felt nauseated by him.
But Jin wanted to survive so he "became human" and followed Charin's orders.
And like the comment above says. Jin can delude himself to the point of becoming another person.
Spoiler
In the raws it seems that every one of the boys had a "mission" or defining characteristic. Jin's seems to be "being perfect" (according to machine translation). So it's understandable that he felt like being above all humanity.
Maybe is a case of reverse brain damage. They say that a good hit to the head can put you in the path of becoming a psychopath hehe.
HE ATE A CORPSE?!?? Bruhhh how did we miss that
Maybe he only said it to scare him?
