No, he’s not really engaged. The most suitable candidate was Isis for the position of the Crown Princess, so everyone assumed that she’s going to be bethroted to Asher. In other words, their supposed engagement is in process and not official yet, but Asher really hates Isis so he’s trying to defeat the Aristocratic Party so he can avoid the marriage.
So erm it's been awhile since I read this but who is Isis? (ಥ_ಥ)

Seriously, I've had enough of SH's abuse. Poor Na-Kyum. SH's really treating NK as a prostitute now and it breaks my heart. I don't know why the author introduced NK's noona. It's not like she'll be able to help him.
That's my OTP, okay. Anyone who opposes it can take a hike. NK deserves the best.
So we'll have to wait another week for the next chapter and then we're probably gonna have to wait several weeks after that for the other chapters (I somehow doubt Byeonduck will be posting during the holidays). Don't get me wrong, I feel for the author and understand she needs time off to improve her health, it's just that I'm impatient af and this story has turned me into an anxious mess.

I just checked the official website and last year she posted during the holidays as well, so unless she hasn't personal issues I don't think she'll stop in the next weeks...
maybe if people hadn't bombarded the author with hateful twitter comments, we would have gotten an upload this week.

Although I'm mostly angry at SH, I also think NK could have said something. He could have told SH the truth without mentioning Ji-Hwa's name. He could have said that he was kidnapped and that he cannot disclose their names because they told him they'd kill him if he does. He could also have explained why he likes staying with SH (he's not in love with him but he clearly likes staying with him - I think just saying that would have been enough to calm the beast that is SH). Granted, SH likely would not have believed NK's kidnapping story because he's clearly made up his mind about what has happened due to his low self-esteem and past experiences, but still there'd at least be a slight chance that he might. AND he might not have reacted as violently as he did now.
Both of them need to open up and talk! I get that times were different then and all, but jeezus.
I couldn't give a rat's ass about this guy's tale of woe. Seriously. Who cares? It doesn't excuse his behavior in the slightest. He's a scumbag through and through.
