. So the empor had 3 wives, 1 from each region :north,central,south. The fl became the escort for the wives even befriended them. The emperor could only hide his feeling for the fl. When the fl got hurt while proctecting his wife,he was in mess,poor him.Why didnt he confess? Because being a knight serving the emperor is the fl greatest achievement and her identity she proud of. 1 of the wife's told Pauline that a woman loses her name (winter) when she gets married, and Pauline doesn't want to lose her name. She raised the child alone. The emperor only wanted the fl to be happy,free of her choice.When the emperor confessed his love, the fl felt betrayed.So the emperor changed the law about succession title for woman even after married. I think they got together. Oh and 1 of the wife's died, 1 executed because of treason, and 1 divorced.
