I 100% agree with you! Also her bs excuse was “because I’m a knight” pissed me off so damn much. She developed a long lasting friendship with this precious dragon because of her “duty” but the information at the beginning was never clear as to why humans and dragons hated each other. If the dragons had attacked the humans, I would understand why they were seen as threats but if both sides had a mutual hatred towards each other, then when would the violence stop? If the white dragon was attacking rampaging everywhere and threatening innocent civilians, then the knight has the jurisdiction to slay it but seeing as the white dragon was always patiently waiting for the knight and seemed to mind its own business, that knight had no right to betray it! If she truly cared about the white dragon, they could have kept their friendship a secret and have it hidden somewhere far away in a reclusive cave or mountain so that way more knights would have stopped hunting for it. Everyone in this story sucks major ass except for our MC and maybe her teacher/mentor.
