So let me get this straight for the skin color sudden changes.
Idk why but it just further implies that being blessed by dark magic causes her skin to darken meaning that "only poc/black ppl can control dark magic" and then when she got blessed by the light king or whatevs her skin became much more fairer due to the HEALING power, which can also imply that "Only white ppl can control light magic".
It would've been more understandable if the mangaka went for the Marxist concept
Whereas most asian (since the manga was made in japan) who work during in this type of period have much more darker skin.
Seeing as she's a noble, THEN the skin change will be acceptable. But holy shit no wonder it felt like white washing
Cause even with light skinned parents and being blessed with dark magic, if it doesnt imply that "poc's can only control dark magic" then her features wouldn't have had to be affected, imagine a black person being "Blessed" by the light king and "Healing" their god damn skin tone to become more fairer, WTF?

I really love how the sequence of events avtually become independent, most back to the past manga like these end up going with a dependent event as in, despite doing different actions and major changes somehow the flow of the events remain unchanged which is really stupid and sorta dumb, this story really went by the rules of cause and effect and i love it, and ngl this is def a slow burn, but then again i'd still prefer it that way instead of some baseless villain, as much as i want the mother and the religious freaks to die fast, i'd want it to simmer first
LETS FUCKING GO OUR SHORT HAIRED BITCH HAS A CHANCE LETS GOOOOOO ELTS GOOOO
