Yeah, chapter 28 was frustrating and kind of ruined the story for me. Making promises with your lover and then abandoning them like that, causing them relive their trauma; it’s fucked up. It reminded me of how the little brother thought he was doing his older brother a favor by being a creepy stalker instead of just being honest. Their behavior was nonsensical and harmed the already traumatized person they supposedly care about.
