Now that I've acknowledged it as it is, I'm going to move on n continue reading the story. That's my tip to new yaoi readers who are introduced to rape scenes on mangago. I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing to have comments calling it what it is. People should be aware of what constitutes as consensual n safe sex. However, we are on an illegal website. We ain't paying a cent to read this so it's not like we can write a letter to the author about this like some publications allow.
The author of 'Sekaiichii Hatsukoi ' had to pull back a chapter containing a very aggressive yet romanticised rape scene because the readers complained and frankly i think they did the right move. Nonconsensual sex scenes should not be viewed through rose-colored glasses. Fiction does influence our worldview n the real world influences fiction. So yes, you can question the manga's perspective n identify a rape scene when you see it. You can also choose not to condone rapey behaviour and continue reading the story. That's what this site allows and you should take advantage of it.
If you want to communicate with the author about any issue in their art then buy their work first! And if the author fails to address your issue then stop supporting their work with your money!

I have genuinely never felt true love. Of course, I am still young and relatively new to dating. However, each time I go out with someone who interests me, my poor responses to gestures of love only hurts the other person. I realised being interested in someone does not necessarily lead to being in love with them and as a validation-starved introvert I confused my initially positive reactions on their attention towards me as myself being in love. I was so wrong n I don't want to hurt anyone else so I've stopped dating for now.
Much like the mangaka character, the idea of love fascinates me and i often contemplate on the factors resulting in someone falling in love while never having done so myself.
There seems to be subtle changes in his behaviour and appearance. Not that I'm complaining, just the vibe around him now feels different from the time when I was first introduced to the character.
Like what? Can you explain further? I'm highly curious now
I thought I was the only one! I also feel this way.
I wouldn't say it's only in the latest chapter. I'm noticing the changes as a gradual progression. Compared to Aki, I think Ueda has developed more in terms of character and it shows. He doesn't carry the same aloofness as he once did. His reactions and responses seem more measured and assertive. Also, his facial features are becoming defined and mature unlike in the earlier chapters when he looked more rounded and youthful. These aspects are most prominent in the current chapter.
