Yes ofc, but doin protests during a pandemic is a pretty bad idea. I just wish ppl waited for the protests, and instead did other safer things to get the word across. oof sry for the politics

The Pigs wouldn't be convicted rn if there werent protests, and the people protesting are holding themselves responsible for if they get sick. It's hard to wait to protest such an important social issue because we are so fucking sick and tired of being oppressed for literally no fucking reason.
I used to think the same way as you did but we must GUARENTEE change and waiting around wouldnt have changed anything.

I'm not saying wait around lol. I just rly wish ppl pushed other methods first. Ofc this is a serious matter, but public health is also important. Sure the ppl protesting are holding themselves responsible if they get sick. However, that puts more strain on doctors and nurses, and the more ppl that get it, the more they will continue to spread it to others. I'm not saying this movement is bad, nor am I saying that all would've been well without riots. I just wished ppl wouldn't resort to riots so quickly, especially during this crisis

The riots aren't something that people just decided to resort to. They're something that was pushed and triggered by the police not only attacking peaceful demonstrations, but also by them vandalizing property undercover(which they are still continuing to do). They wanted to create an agressive atmosphere to skewer the focus on not what the people are fighting for, but on "all the awful shit" they're doing. To give some people a reason to side with the oppressors and the police.
The timing sucks but the American government is so corrupt that without the pressure of millions nothing would change. There are no other methods to ensure a revolution in America.

not to mention that the victims of police brutality that have suffered and even died during the protests far outnumber the people that have been affected or died of coronavirus contracted while protesting, so in reality, what's the bigger problem?
