it’s pretty clear that his subordinates are way stronger than him, so why do they listen to him? they’re supposed to be crazy and out of control, right? why do they take commands from someone who is so much weaker than them..
I think it’s more out of a matter of respect instead of just listening to him they also rely on him to take care of duties as their leader and in return he’ll most likely get treated like a real leader since they know that they need someone to lead them if they want to stay working platoon(and none of them really want that duty most likely) but also since almost no one wants to take care of the “crazy” ones and our mc hasn’t really seemed to object to the idea knowing that someone weaker stepped up to take care of them probably put that respect needed for them to “listen” to him so to say(that probably seems like mushed of rambling sorryg
agreed with all of the above! that sort of mutual respect is super important especially since it's something very difficult to come by. not to mention our mc is quite special himself... it requires some real "craziness" to dedicate yourself and your entire life so wholly to his dream. crazies recognize crazies!
Mc is interesting and unique but the surrounding characters are so cliche it’s boring. Not to mention that the male lead is obsessive garbage. His love feels fake, he fell in love just cos she was interesting? He just sat back and watched as the original rosalie was abused. He has no shame whatsoever and not in a cute way, dropped
EXACTLY!!
MF knew the girl was being abused, but he did not even speak up just left her and went on his merry way NOW he is in love because she can fight? B ****pls...
These Authors will really dig deep into the trenches of what a woman can least tolerate in a man and try to paint and repaint such characters as appealing...
this story is your typical gay love story. filled to the brim with various wattpad-esque tropes but fails to utilise them in an interesting way, therefore coming off as boring. it’s hard to immerse yourself in a story that hits all the cliche plot points. Homophobic family? mc who is super hot and all the ladies love him despite him being a twink? straight ml whos super angsty? inane love triangle caused by mcs old fling? 2nd ml who only realises he’s in love with mc after their relationship ends?
the characters unfortunately end up coming off as very simple and two dimensional due to the generic use of tropes and conventions. what is the point in reading what is essentially a nicely drawn wattpad fanfic? sorry but not even the beautiful art can make me tolerate the subpar writing.
i think it's fine to have tropes in a story if the author knows how to write the characters well...and honestly this story is at least better than a lot of bls right now. i like how complex the characters are, and i like how their thoughts and actions don't lack depth. yes the story isn't unique or original, but it's not just a bunch of cliches wrapped up together to make a story. i feel like the author actually cared about the characters rather than just tying up a bunch of tropes together. though i can see why you don't like how it's not really a fresh new story, i think it's unfair to say that this story is just a bunch of cliches when clearly the author took time at writing what goes on in each chapter

Looks really promising from the first chapter!! I love the fact it’s set in the countryside, i recently reread barakamon and was craving a countryside slice of life. Nearly teared up when he started walking into the ocean
