Lol, there are many different levels of yaoi. Majority of us , especially the ones who have been reading yaoi for decades, are pretty much into all the kinky, gory, and taboo side of yaoi. Sometimes, normal doesn't cut it anymore. XD There are writers who specialize in the taboo. Like Harada or Ogawa chise. My favorites!
As for novels, I'm primarily into horror and maybe thrillers. But mostly horror and supernatural/paranormal books.

It would have been much better if the story was longer. There was a lot of potential for conflict and drama. Like Kei struggling with growing older while Haruto stays younger or how Kei deals with people judging them.
I'm pretty sure Hound forgot his personal vendetta already. He probably forgot before he even got started.
