It did but there was still a kind of disturbing element to it. We all know that Iori tortured and raped Asaichi. But yet, the story continues like it never happened. I'd say that's pretty messed up.

He mastered two languages in six months, alongside other things he was learning. I know that if I was in his world, six months in and I'd still be trying to figure out how to climb a tree. (￣∇￣")
The opera about Carmen wasn't really a fairy tale but I'll let it go because it was beautifully done. Surprisingly, I've never thought of pairing thise two together.
Everybody's hating on Mairo here but in a situation like that, I admire him for staying true to his feelings and never swaying and never abandoning his love. He could have easily caved and married the girl just to save himseld the headache and trouble of rebelling, like a lot of people do in real life. But nope, he stuck to it and proved he truly loves Eiki.

He wasn't like that before or after the engagement so I think he was like that becaues he was mad about being told to except it and marry the girl by is brother/lover that he secretly sabotaged and told him after the fact so he is happy again and will not act that badly to him again.

Yes, he did turn into a demon from eating Akagi's flesh. The last page, when Otsuji talked about his "living on love" lifestyle, it was a bit of a joke because it's a common phrase, but he also literally meant his eyes changed because he was "living on love" by eating Akagi.
