So i think the main plot point of the story is hidden nature vs your outer appearance. The Uke was so obsessed on becoming the model adopted child/a perfect policeman/the best student that he would always act like a good person and keel his anger to himself (and to satisfy his anger he would choke himself in front of a mirror like we see in earlier chapters). When he meets the Seme, his repressed inner evil self starts to resurface, at first he is unaware of it (like when a guy is randomly killed on the street and all is left is blood) but then he slowly realizes that he is one of the culprits of these "evaporation cases". The Seme's on the other hand is not afraid of showing a much colder personality, very blunt and honest, closer to his evil persona. Unlike the Uke who had to repress his memory to cope, he had all the time to familiarize with his abilities and used it to his advantage. He is initially angry at the Uke because he was afraid that once the Uke found out the truth he would abandon the Seme because the Uke's outer persona was such a good person that he couldn't be his evil self anymore.
At the end of the manwha, the Uke pieces all his memories back together and accepts that he has an evil side and no longer wants to hide behind a facade of a good person, so he decides to keep his promise to always be with the Seme.
The only thing that i can't seem to understand is how they got their "powers". My theory is that they got this mirror ability when they made the wish to be "only them two together", because that's when all the freaky mirror shit starts.
